Welcome to the Hickory Hill Llama Farm website, thank you for visiting!. We started, of course by Pat's choice, roughly back in 1986-1987. We first started having an interest in what Llamas were all about and what the purpose of a llama would be as a pet. We visited farms all over the New England, New York and Pennsylvania and visited several fairs. Along the way, we met a lot of great people, some which we are still friends with and others have slipped through time. We thank each and everyone for all their help in this constant learning journey of being a Llama owner.
Once completing a lot of research, learning, listening and reading, we bought our first two "pet" llamas. Laredo and Tajos were their names and have since passed on. We learned a lot from the two of them. Before the two passed, we decided to venture into some more "show" quality llamas and that is where it began.
Since then, our farm and experience has grown. We bred our first male and female back in 2000 and have bred our females out to other male llamas. (Thank you Dakota Ridge - Katrina and Gary!)
Our camelid family is growing and growing stronger and bigger. We now have four new babies on the ground this fall, two from last year and two that are not even one month old yet! There is a lot of activity going on at the farm this fall.
We encourage people to come by and visit. We have new arrivals to the farm this year along with several breeding taking place with our new boys! Things are very busy and there is always activity at the farm, even during the winter, especially on Sundays, so stop by and say hello and welcome to the loving camelid family! Please check out the new babies page to check out our new beautiful babies, both from BAL Alfredo as Sire.
This year's show season has been a wonderful one. We have met a lot of new and old friends and still keep learning at each show we attend. The work that we have done and the respect and care we put into our animals has been proven in the show ring. We enjoyed meeting everyone we have met along the way and hope to keep in contact with each of you.
Thank you to all the people that have been in our life and have helped out in so many ways. There isn't anything we could say for your generosity, your friendship and your support!
